Matt and Kate Dewdney ran the Brighton Half Marathon for the 2nd year running and raised another fantastic sum of over £1600 for Know Dementia. Thank you Matt and Kate and all those people that supported them.

Know Dementia Sunday ‘Moments’ – informal meeting up for a Walk and refreshments.

The Old Vicarage, The Street, Washington, Sussex RH20 4AS
2½m E of Storrington, 4m W of Steyning. From Washington r’about on A24 take A283 to Steyning. 500yds R to Washington. Pass Frankland Arms, R to St Mary’s Church.
Gardens of 3½ acres set around 1832 Regency house (not open). The front, formally laid out with topiary, wide lawn, mixed border, and contemporary water sculpture. The rear, features new and mature trees from C19, herbaceous borders, water garden and stunning uninterrupted views of the North Downs. Also Japanese garden with waterfall and pond.
The garden is open from 11.00am until 3.30pm., Admission is £5.00 per person – for this walk there is funding available for up to 20 entries which will be on a first come first served basis.
Meet Christine and Will at 11.00 at the entrance if you want to take advantage of the free entry . There are drinks and snacks and a tea room at the house otherwise please decide amongst yourselves if you want to have lunch in the pub in Washington afterwards or up the road at The Old Barn garden centre – or somewhere else!

Lottie, whose Grandfather has dementia, held a fundraising event recently at her flat in aid of Know Dementia as a thank you for all the support the charity gives to her family. She cooked a meal for all her friends who donated money for the tasty experience which raised £100. Thank you Lottie and Lottie’s friends!
Our Sporting Moments Christmas session was held on Monday with a special Christmas circuit set up by Steve at the #Southwater Leisure Centre. Afterwards we all wound down with some delicious nibbles and drinks. Our thanks to Steve Brew who makes Sporting Moments so much fun.
Next Sunday Moment walk will be on Sunday 18th December at Sheffield Park.
Meet by 10.30am at the entrance to the park (National Trust membership needed or pay fee on entry which is £10.50 per adult).
On this walk we will stay in the park and follow the Decorated Christmas tree Festival of Trees walk – if you have time come and have refreshments in the Sheffield Park cafe afterwards.
‘A festival of trees – This December, take a stroll in the garden with it’s winding paths and mirror lakes to discover some unusual Christmas trees. Follow the trail until you reach ‘Christmas tree walk’ where conifers of all shapes and sizes have been dressed for the festive season.’
