Lottie, whose Grandfather has dementia, held a fundraising event recently at her flat in aid of Know Dementia as a thank you for all the support the charity gives to her family. She cooked a meal for all her friends who donated money for the tasty experience which raised £100. Thank you Lottie and Lottie’s friends!
Our Sporting Moments Christmas session was held on Monday with a special Christmas circuit set up by Steve at the #Southwater Leisure Centre. Afterwards we all wound down with some delicious nibbles and drinks. Our thanks to Steve Brew who makes Sporting Moments so much fun.
Next Sunday Moment walk will be on Sunday 18th December at Sheffield Park.

What an amazing time we all had at this year’s Christmas Extravaganza. We were thoroughly entertained by the Sundown Ukulele Band, Maximilian, our Jazzled choir and the RDA dancers. Thank you to everyone who supported the event – you helped raise a total of £673.00 for the charity, which is fantastic.
A big thank you to everyone who supported us by choosing Know Dementia via the token system when shopping at Waitrose Horsham. Sue Duggin, who applied for the grant when she was working for us, picked up the cheque for the magnificent sum of £740.
Know Dementia is very proud to announce that we have been chosen this year by Steyning and District as the charity they support during their Food & Drinks Festival. From 3rd Sept until 2nd Oct there will be a series of breakfasts, lunches, special pizzas and a Charity Dinner at various local eateries and restaurants where donations will be made for choosing a particular option on the food menu, and in the case of the Charity Dinner, a donation from the ticket price. A good reason to take your family and friends to Steyning and District for some delicious food!
