Coronavirus Local Community Action Group – Supported and endorsed by Buxted Parish Council

A team of over 50 volunteers cover the whole of the parish with a comprehensive delivery network and a contingency plan, back up food supplies and safety measures that have been implemented.  They are working closely with the surgery, advisory NHS experts and quarantine experts.

They offer a range of services including shopping, collecting/submitting prescriptions, delivering, dog walking or just phoning around to make sure people are ok.

3m rule will be applied and disposable gloves worn by the volunteer.  All produce washed down at The Buxted Inn with food safe sanitizer before delivery.

Boxes will be quarantined to ensure as best as possible they are virus free and bank transfer payment will be encouraged, although cash or cheques can be taken in a provided envelope which will be sanitized.

Once contact numbers are taken, a follow-up call will be made every 3 days to check if anything else is needed.
